“Supporting Protective Caps”

During the epidemic, HIC had brothers and sisters at joining in the production of protective caps for frontline medical staff to support Matt Chiang served company Atlantic Health Corp. At present, their need of 800 protective caps have been completed, enough to provide the status of one for each person.

“Protective hat outreach ministry”

1. Gifts and the needs of discovery: Because of hat making, it let us see that HIC has many hidden resources and gifts that can be used, we may think we can’t, but when everyone is willing to do it or when the task is given, we will become a great force when assembled. Ex. Helen Fu did not like to read the manual, but she was willing to do it and accepted the challenge to break through her personal bottleneck, and found that she had the gift to do it. We also learned that Xiu Duan’s daughter Karen found out while working in the nursing home that the nursing staff also needed these hats.

 2. Division of labor and integration: Therefore, Carol Hsu began to organize the HIC Gospel Hat Workshop, a group of hat workshops by sewing technology Tina and Hui Jia, Juifei Van (tailoring). The second group of workshops was made by Helen Fu , Vickie and Joe and daughters, Xiao Yan and Jacob Lin.   Carol Hsu and her daughter Victoria travelled between the two groups to deliver materials and pick up goods. Plus Grace and Paul Chen and Huijia make cards and attach them to the hats given to them, blessing those medical staff who take them. We also had feedback from people, the heart of the person who got the hat was touched and moved to tears. We believe there are more people in need. As of last week, we sent a total of 31 medical protective caps to RWJ New Brunswick and the nursing staff of the nursing home.
