[HIC On-Line Summer Camp 傳福中心線上夏令營]

HIC offers three-weeks on-line summer camp from 7/20-8/7, Monday through Friday via HIC Zoom. 傳福中心將舉辦為期三週的線上夏令營，時間是七月二十日至八月七日，每週一至週五在線上 HIC Zoom.

Class Introduction 課程介紹

Bible Marathon 讀經接力 (15 sessions)

Time: Weekday afternoon, Monday through Friday at 3pm-4pm on 7/20-8/7

 Seek fun and light from the most read book in this world by joining a group of friends

 

Art Appreciation 藝術欣賞 (for age of 8 and up; 3 sessions)

Time: Monday afternoon at 4pm-5pm on 7/20, 7/27, 8/3

This class will be comprised of two parts: a short lecture on a famous and inspirational artist, and a discussion following to explore the different definitions of art. The purpose of the class is to help kids brainstorm ideas for their own artistic endeavors.

 

Pray Reading/Game 禱讀和遊戲 (3 sessions)

Time: Tuesday afternoon at 4pm-5pm on 7/21, 7/28, 8/4

Special Note:

Session 1 (7/21) is for preschoolers & kindergartners

Session 2 (7/28) is for 1st – 3rd graders

Session 3 (8/4) is for 4th-6th graders

If the same family has an older brother or sister who wants to join in, they can join in as well. Please bring your Bibles and be on time:)

The Bible is our daily bread. When we pray and read the Bible, our spirit gets stronger. This class will take your child through the Bible with fun games and prayer reading during the three weeks!

 

Art for Youth 美術課 (for Grade 7 and up; 3 sessions)

Time: Wednesday morning at 10am-11am on 7/22, 7/29, 8/5

Art theory and technique will be taught. Prepare your own watercolor/graphite pencils and paper.

 

Cooking for Kids 烹飪課 (3 sessions)

Time: Wednesday afternoon at 4pm-5pm on 7/22, 7/29, 8/5

An easy, yummy and fun cooking class for kids, teachers will demonstrate the methods step by step. Teachers will send a note the Sunday before your session that tells students what ingredients/supplies to prepare.

 

Storytelling 說故事時間 (3 sessions)

Time: Thursday afternoon at 4pm-5pm on 7/23, 7/30, 8/6

Andie will read a storybook, a popular book like “You are Special” by Max Lucado.

 

Fun Science for Kids (for ages 5 to 11; 3 sessions)

Time: Friday afternoon at 4pm-5pm on 7/24, 7/31, 8/7

This is an exciting science class, appropriate for ages 5-11, that includes engaging experiments with fun and thorough explanations about the history behind science. Session 1 ties in biblical history with the experiments, Session 2 involves cultural history, and Session 3 comes with more fun. Students may either watch or participate in experiments. Ages 5-11 may only participate hands-on in experiments with parental consent and supervision and parents are required to sign a release of liability form if their child/children want to participate hands-on.
